I ‘ccept Ur Nomination, Eh Huck!
Did anyone watch Bush’s acceptance speech last night? Politicians have always been divisive and deceptive but Dubya took it to a whole new level last night. He and all his republican colleagues relentlessly frequented the same lies disputed and invalidated by journalists’ months ago. Kerry denied body armor to the troops. No, Kerry voted against a bill that hadn’t any reasonable financial backing. The man was trying to be fiscally responsible, something Bush hasn’t a clue about! Bush opened the Kerry slams by stating Kerry’s policies would cost billions of dollars that don’t exist. Where the hell do you think the money for over a dozen new programs Bush stated he would implement in the next four years would come from? Reforming the tax code? More funding to community colleges? Welfare reform? Health care reform? And on top of it all he wants to make the tax cuts permanent! People, we’re running at a record deficit. Unless he’s suggesting representatives and senators go without pay for the next term he’s lying! He’s not going to put forth anything in that agenda. It’s a smoke screen similar to what he did to Sen. John McCain in the first campaign or his father’s notorious “No new taxes!” speech. He’s willing to invent a fantastical scope of the perfect four years according to a conservative in order to impress delegates already elbow deep in the man’s brown eye!
The media is at it again with smearing RNC protestors, the most patriotic of us all, as “evil”, “misguided”, and “awful extremists.” I don’t remember Clinton bombarded with 200-300,000 passionate individuals at every speech or appearance he had, do you? Half of America needs to open their eyes! These people aren’t extreme; they just tend to read more than you! Why do you support Bush? Because he makes you feel safe? How does an unjust holy war against one of the poorest countries on earth already suffering from 12 years of UN sanctions creating one of the most anti-American sentiments in the history of our country make us safer? How does waiting a month to bomb the location of our Sept. 11th attackers make us safer? How does not finding the man responsible for 9/11 make us safer? How does not changing policies with the country that supplied nearly all our 9/11 attackers make us safer? How does bombing, shooting, burning, and destroying people, homes, churches, and buildings thereby creating huge collateral loses in the name of “freedom” make us safer? How does occupying (a word Bush himself used after declaring “Mission Accomplished”) a country that hates us make us safer?
Please post your comments because frankly, I’m more confused than a Bush supporter!!
