According to studies by Democrats on the Joint Economic Committee, four million low-income families will have reduced benefits from the child tax credit if the law is unchanged.

Yeah, you read that correctly. Even so, Democrats along with Republicans, “Agreed Wednesday to extend $145 billion worth of tax cuts sought by President Bush without trying to pay for them.” You know, if I didn’t perform one of my primary functions here at work I’d simply get fired. Yet our representatives can ignore one of their most important jobs, that of balancing the federal budget then get re-elected time-and-again.  It’s not like struggling families are even benefiting from this so-called “tax relief”. No, instead we’re worse off than we were before our saviors blessed us with that beautiful $300 check.. Have the American people forgotten about accountability?  Stop voting for these people!  If you’re life isn’t improving and you’re working harder than ever, who’s to blame?

“These are working people we are trying to help,” Senator Lincoln said, adding, “The higher-income taxpayers get enormous benefits from the tax code.”
