		<description>No matter what anyone thinks of Brent Scowcroft my readings paint him a man with realism in his base.&#160; He led Bush (I) to gain numerous allies in the Gulf War and was very skeptical of whether to go to war in the first place.&#160; He also helped negotiate with Saudi leaders in order to facilitate investigations of terrorist attacks on American bases within the kingdom.&#160; He’s not the greatest guy in the world but for a Republican close to both Bush’s he’s not quite as bad as you’d assume.
