Wising Up?
Terri Schiavo, Tom Delay’s ethics, “The Nuclear Option”, John Bolton as ambassador to the UN, Social Security, insurgents increase resistance in the War on Iraq, Medical Malpractice, Medicare.
Is it all crashing down for America’s Republican owned congress? Will the “In God We Trust” billboards soon be replaced with “We Told You So?” Probably not, but it’s fun to watch the fires burn.
That is quite a heap of residuals from the Republican party, yet I remain very cynical. Yes, these are all issues that are failing/have failed and they seemingly should bring the Republican party down, yet, I still feel they will ride a very strong wave. I’ve been very reticent about this since the beginning of this year. The Democrats have morphed into even bigger pussies as a whole (as if that seemed even possible…) which allows such Republican pablum to even reach the people. The Democrats can speak all they like in the halls of our government against Republican policy, but people don’t watch C-Span (“people” meaning your average American) and the only bits played on the mainstream media are primarily pro-policy as opposed to the opposing view. Basically, what we have is a wave of anti-gay/anti-secular water that the Republicans can ride all the way to the stripping of our Constitution because all that matters is the last poll: the election.
I agree. The reason behind my post was how hilarious I find all these issues to be.
Everyone of ‘em have shown popular polling severly leaning against the Reps’, yet who’s on top and who’s going to continue to be on top? It’s like declaring “home” the win when “away” is 30 points up simply because “they’re at home!”
Eh, that’s it! I’m moving to France.

It’s my best option. Not only do I know a bit of the language but just recently they banned DRM (Digital Rights Management) from DVDs.
Speaking of my future home. There’s a jackass in my work lot with a “BOYCOTT FRANCE” bumper sticker. I’m tempted to put one of my ”Support Magnetic Ribbons” next to it.
:( Sadly, my “Support Magnetic Ribbons” ribbon has vanished. Did it fall victim to the car wash or an evil-doer? One can only wonder…
