Q and Not U – Calling it Quits
A band that most of my close friends and I held very dear decided to disband yesterday. Q and Not U was – in my mind – a perfect band with their 2000 release No Kill No Beep Beep. Document, the band Cas, Jeff, and I shared for a few years performed with them at The Shelter in Detroit during their Spring 2002 tour with El Guapo. Their energy, politics, and attitudes matched my opinion of their music.
Q and Not U will be missed. Thanks Chris, Harris, and John for three of my favorite records.
That’s sad to hear. They were amazing musicians and performers. They were extremely nice, too.
