i’m obviously not Jeff, but it’s my understanding that he’s against affirmative action, against Title IX, & thinks Roe v. Wade should be overturned. Sounds like a peach. But look, we’ve all stopped talking about Karl Rove for a minute. Mission Accomplished.
Oh yeah, he’s also in the Federalist Society, & i found this in an article about him:
“The president is a man of his word,” said Tony Perkins, the president of the Family Research Council, a conservative Christian group. “He promised to nominate someone along the lines of a Scalia or a Thomas, and that is exactly what he has done.”
He is another brilliant move by the Rove machine. Somebody leaked that a moderate judge from New Orleans was going to be nominated so everybody was thinking that Bush had made a wise choice…then he drops the name of somebody that nobody knows anything about.
He’s only been a judge for 2 years so there is no real paper trail on his policy. Outside of his private practice years he has worked within government agencies during conservative administrations and was a clerk for Rehnquist, so it is impossible to know what his personal take on these issues are.
He has almost no record to dissect and he was hand picked because of this. Very very scary nomination.

Nice. Well that bodes well for civilization.
