Conservatives: Silently Jumping Ship?
I inadvertently stumbled upon a Pat Buchanan editorial for the Conservative Voice titled, ”Cindy Sheehan: Antiwar Catalyst.” Admittedly, I was not entirely prepared for the content of the article. As I began reading the piece, I was completely expecting a mockery to be made of Sheehan. However, Buchanan actually wrote an interesting article that clearly points out that the president is losing support, at least in regards to Iraq. I wonder, are conservatives finally tiring of Bush (albeit, without voicing this lack of support in more mainstream venues)? Or, am I reading too far into this?
I think republicans will be more and more open to questioning the Bush administration as his presidentcy goes into its final years. For most it will be a political game, but Buchanan has never been one to play off of the Republican party’s game plan. He’ll just be the first of many, as republicans start questioning the outgoing administration. It will be in their best interest politically to point fingers at what Bush did wrong from a conservative standpoint…then they can say how they will do it better. Just normal politics under a president in his last term.
Would you want to be tied to that moronic albatross? i mean, i cringe when i see the “D” next to Zell Millers’ name. Republicans of conscience (& mental prowess) now would be a good time to take a stand, & make a break.
Bush’s approval rating plummets.

i can’t figure out why the “Right to Life” crowd isn’t out there supporting Cindy Sheehan. Isn’t it a pretty clear cut “pro-life” stance? Or maybe they’re just hypocrites?
I’m somewhat surprised that Bush hasn’t sunk to lame duck status quite yet. Perhaps it’s because of the pending Supreme Court appointment(s). It’ll be interesting to see what conservatives criticize about this administration as we head into the next election cycle.
