There is a problem with the operation and functionality of Wikipedia. The basic problem is that none of the Trustees of Wikimedia Foundation, Inc., nor any of the volunteers who are connected with Wikipedia, consider themselves responsible and therefore accountable for the content.

They believe themselves to be above the law. (Wikipedia Class Action)

I firmly believe anyone who attempts to defame, threaten, or post fraudulent claims on the web should be reprimanded if those actions break the law.  If it weren’t for a potential increase in identity theft, I also think that anonymous browsing/emailing should be banned.  Responsibilities of ones own actions is key for any community to retain integrity.  That includes virtual communities such as Wikipedia.  If this Class Action has any merit, and the allegations are true, Wikipedia must increase accountability to their volunteers.
