It's a popularity contest and if a restaurant only has one off-the-beaten-path location it's a surefire loser. The only reason some bullsh*t place like Q'doba doesn't win "best mexican" is because Detroit actually has a "Mexican Village" (even though the winner wasn't a Mexican Village restaurant Xochimilco still got second). I'm sure Da Edoardo or Antonio's would be pulling higher numbers if the corner of Mack and Moross was renamed "Italian Town."
