The Beloved Empire
They’re on two upcoming shows that I’m looking forward to attending, yet I never heard of them prior to this post.
As far as I can tell Darling Imperial have only been a band for a short amount of time. They’re available output is relatively small (only two streamable tracks). Those have a slight shoegaze feel mixed with a teaspoon of alt-country. They combine male and female vocals. The female half, represented by Sarah Sadovky, has a tinge of Chrissie Hynde. So yeah, Darling Imperial is like Slowdive meets Old 97′s meets The Pretenders. Got it? Doesn’t matter, just go listen to ‘em.
Don’t know if you got the e-mail I sent regarding this, but thanks. We went on early (9) so I don’t know if you caught us. If so, hope you enjoyed it.
No problem.
I got the email. Thanks for the blowout info’. I’m planning on putting together a post containing all my recommended blowout “showcases.” Yours will certainly be included.
I was pretty lame that night and ended up not going to the ‘Stick ’cause of brutal cold. I’m promising to make it out to one of shows soon.
